Parlor Religio Exposition: Successful Test!

Each year, the Paccard Foundry attends the exposition, Parlor Religio; this year it was held on the 13th, 14th and 15th of January. This was the first unveiling of Campanuna, the first world wide site for on-line sales of personalized bells. This test market was an overwhelmingly successful test. In fact, the visitors were enamored with the concept of purchasing a personalized bell as a gift or a commemoration of a marriage, anniversary or birthday, a retirement, or in honor of a special achievement. The presentation of the bells on their stands attested to the quality and craftsmanship of the Paccard Foundry in the making of the superb objects of art and function. Form beauty, sound purity, perfection of the finish; nothing is left to chance. The traditional method of casting bells, notably, the "lost wax process", makes possible a high level of personalization, permanently cast in bronze, making every bell unique to its owner.

  The Rotary Club's Bell
The German Bruchsal-Bretten Rotary Club received this wonderful bronze bell on a wooden base during the club's gala, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the club. The gift was given to the club by the Bellegarde-Valserine Rotary Club in France, and also commemorates the upcoming 50th anniversary of the "twinning" of the two clubs for special projects.

Used regularly for ceremonies and meetings, one side of the bell is inscribed with the International Rotary's logo and the other side holds an inscription about the 50-year partnership. This is a perfect gift for other Rotary clubs or civic associations !

Campanuna bell starts the 30th Annual Marathon in Annecy (Fr)
The Paccard Bellfoundry partnered with Annecy Marathon to kick off the race in style.

For the 30th Marathon, young runners started the race with the ringing of a Campanuna school bell, and when Julius Maritim crossed the finish line, a second larger bell pealed to announce his victory, and reminded runners that bells can be incorporated into many community events.

Tourist Trams and Shuttles Have New Bells

CPIL, the designer and manufacturer of small trains and city shuttle buses has commissioned new bronze bells for its fleet, so that the driver can ring the bells at stops and at departures. At the request of CPIL, Paccard Bellfoundry custom-designed these to ensure that the bell won't block with the driver's vision.

The bell, pictured here on the small tourist train in Annecy, France, rings a lovely F note.
